About The PUA

The Patriot Union of America (PUA) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit citizen's advocacy and national umbrella voting union. 

Our focus is two fold: 1) we work with other citizens advocacies and grass roots groups as a national umbrella under which they can all gather, work, learn, share, and leverage their scarce resources and improve over-all effectiveness, and 2) we are national nonpartisan citizen's voting union bringing millions of voters together to work on a variety of common interest or common good issues--by keeping our membership open access and low cost, we ensure that tens of millions of members will eventually come together to create America's most powerful  lobbying group otherwise know as We The People.

The PUA works on mainstream, major interest issues across the spectrum, whether healthcare, border security, Social Security, illegal immigration, or you name it--whatever the major issue of the year that needs fixing, the PUA will be there.

How The PUA Helps Nonprofits Increase Their Effectiveness

Unfortunately, there are over 35,000 registered lobbyist in Washington D.C. and only 535 members of Congress, or just over 65 lobbyist for each Congress person. Equally unfortunate is that as the laws are currently written, the Congress is incentivized not to speak with embers of the public but with members of wealthy special interest groups which have contributed or will contribute their election campaigns, all but leaving the average American citizen voter impotent as a political voice for change--unless coupled with tens of millions of voter voices! 

The PUA, working across scores of issues and industries, gives voters the chance to coalesce their voter strength0in-numbers so that it can be used for "common interest" or "common good" projects and solutions.

Small nonprofits and grass roots groups who were once unable to obtain the level of vote power needed to sway Congress, can thusly improve their odds for success by working with the PUA voting union toward securing "common good" solutions---new laws that are more beneficial to the people rather than wealthy special interest groups.

For example, let's say your citizen's advocacy organization is trying to pass critical border security legislation, which is a common interest issue (e.g. an issue that effects most Americans). Your organization would work with the PUA to advance a "common good" proposal that the union members vote on and support and could thusly substantially increase its over-all voter numbers and support for the issue. Instead of just having your 1 million members, you could now have 40 million members backing your efforts. And the same holds true for other organizations working on other issues, such a healthcare, etc.  

Additionally, your organization would be able to access the PUA Network and increase its own effectiveness on smaller projects. Fore example, let's say you need fifty part time volunteers for a 8 weeks. You could post your needs to the PUA's Network and instead of expending scare funds on costly advertising and other organization may be able to lend you their resources. the list of similar resources sharing capabilities grows with the PUA!

Summary

The PUA was designed as a democratic-process tool for eventual use by all Americans in securing new laws at the federal level on behalf of the "common good" --- all in an effort to return government to WE THE PEOPLE! 

All US citizens are invited to participate regardless of their partisanship or income levels (free membership is offered to the indigent). Every American is invited to participate in the PUA.
