You and your organization are invited to participate to help make a better future for all Americans. Resources and Options

As a PUA Affiliate, your organization will gain access to thousands of organizations across the nation and the ability to share resources, expertise and know-how, or even find critical partnerships, sponsors, or volunteers for your projects. As an Affiliate member of the PUA, your organization will have access to the entire PUA membership. Applying the policy of "common good" to PUA directives and projects, if your project meets with simple guidelines, you can place your political agendas and ideas in front of millions of voters toward building awareness or even creating new legislation. Your members gain the advantage of being part of the great PUA national voting union and being able to directly participate in federal lawmaking as well as gaining and ensuring access to invaluable online resources, such as educational centers, white papers, and issue debate, activism, and much more. Leverage Your Membership Into More Financial Support

As a PUA Affiliate, your organization does not have to give up its membership roles but it can greatly leverage them to extend not only its political reach but its financial reach. When your members sign up for PUA membership via an Affiliate link from your Web site, your organization becomes that member's lifetime sponsor, which means every time the member renews their PUA membership, your organization gets an Affiliate fee. Affiliate Compensation

PUA Affiliates earn 25% of the PUA membership fee for their own needs and to cover the costs associated with marketing the PUA membership and administering it. The fee is paid to your organization each time the member renews their PUA Membership, so long as they remain your registered member. (After the national-roll-out period, all those who sign up for PUA membership must first have a membership with a PUA Affiliate before being allowed to join the PUA). [2]

Who Can Become An Affiliate?

Only nonprofit organizations: including political activists, political parties, lobbyist, private and public activist or political groups, and basically anyone serving the general public in a political capacity on some level.

The PUA may accept some affiliates from for-profit enterprises on a case by case basis (i.e. Auto Clubs, Buying Clubs, etc.) but fee compensation plans are subject to change without notice and subject to approval by the Board. 

Who Cannot Become A PUA Affiliate?

1. Government agencies or departments may not participate.

2. Groups, business, individuals, or organizations that sponsor or promote hate or racism.

3. Anti-Americans, anti-Constitutionalists.

4. Transnational corporations (companies having 10% or more of their services or products produced off US soil or by non-US citizens).

5. Foreign corporations or individuals (unless the individual has applied for and been accepted into a US residency program toward citizenship - non citizenship programs do not qualify).

The PUA reserves the right to deny affiliation to any individual, group, organization, or business with or without cause and with or without notice.

How Long Does It Take To Become Official

Generally 4 to 8 weeks, depending on our backlog. We are currently working on an automated version for the Web site so that affiliation will become instant. Check back regularly.

Who Are Your Affiliates Now?

We will publish a complete PUA Affiliate listing at the conclusion or our national roll-out in April 2008.

How Does The Affiliate Get Paid?

We collect all membership fees via our Official Designate Administrator. Every 30 days (after the initial set-up cycle completes) the Affiliate will receive a check for all membership fees from the previous month along with a list of their lifetime members. We will be automating this process to occur seamlessly over the Internet in the coming months but for now we must use a more traditional system of checks and postal mailings.

What Are The Requirements To Be An Affiliate?

A completed PUA Affiliation Agreement signed and on file along with the first year's Affiliation membership fees (if applicable) and acceptance of the application by the PUA Board, as well as issuance of the Affiliate ID Number. If you sign-up online, your affiliation as automatically approved and active but we must still formally conduct the final approval process before issuing official affiliation membership. 

How Do I Know My Organization Has Been Accepted As An Affiliate?

We will mail you an Affiliate Membership Number (or this may be supplied online via an automated Affiliation system).

(1) Affiliate fee is not paid to your organization if the PUA member is no longer your member or if the member, when specifically asked at sign-up, claims to no longer be your member. 

(2) The PUA under all circumstances pays an Affiliate Fee (it is unavoidable under PUA rules). In the event a "free member" joins the PUA directly and not through an Affiliate member's Web site, the PUA has designated the Patriot Society as its Official Default Affiliate and the Patriot Society will receive any Affiliate fees due from the membership.

(2) Exception, if the member withdraws from the PUA (or expires their PUA membership) without renewing either directly through the PUA Designated Affiliate Web site  or your Web site, the member becomes a non-sponsored or "free member" upon official membership expiration. After that time, if the "free member" applies through a different organization, that organization becomes the new lifetime sponsor for the member.

The US is chalked full of tens of thousands of political nonprofits and grassroots groups and members who focus on their own brand of politics and change. Many are small or medium size organizations with little or no resources or who like to team up with others or share capabilities and so much more, if they only could. At the PUA, we believe good ideas can come from anywhere so we offer a helping hand to all.

Through grassroots network affiliations with the PUA umbrella, nonprofits and other grass rooters can leverage their capabilities and resources to bring us some of the best ideas and solutions for our ever evolving society. We offer a platform from which we can all exchange ideas, lend or receive help from other like minded groups or individuals, share capabilities, gather up volunteers, and so much more toward leveraging scarce grass roots resources so that we might put them to work for the "common good."
