Impeachment Grounds (Conforming to High Crimes and Misdemeanor Standards)
Key evidence for impeachment review might include:
1) Did the
President knowingly lie to the Congress and US citizens proclaiming that war
was needed due to Iraq's possession of weapons of mass destruction?
2) Was the President duly informed by the CIA that Iraq had no connection whatsoever to
the 9-11 attacks (and that Bush deliberately used a domestic campaign of fear and terror
in the US in perpetrating false claims or that a connection between Iraq and the 9-11
conspirators existed in order to validate an attack on Iraq and win voter
support?
3) Did such deliberate deceits by the President, in fact, result in war under false pretenses with a foreign nation that ended
in the needless death of thousands of Americans (as well as innocent
non-combatants in Iraq) as well as cost the American people in excess of 400
billion dollars?
4) Did the President deliberately undermined the national security of the United States by: A) conducting illegal wiretaps of US
citizens, B) release classified information to the US public that harmed both
intelligence gathering systems as well as lead to the exposure of CIA agent/s,
C0 abuse the Office of the Presidency by excessive application?
5) Did the President promote, encourage, or actively follow,
A) an open border policy that undermined the process of immigration law, US sovereignty
integrity and protection, and failed to secure the safety and security of the
American people; B) failed to secure US borders from illegal entry by known
terrorist groups and the smuggling of weapons of mass destruction; C) resulted in
public declaration that US laws are optional and that criminal
enterprise will be rewarded with programs such as "immigration
amnesty" that actively promoted or signaled access to terrorist groups to
cross borders; D) rendered impotent the entire arm of Homeland Security through
undermining policies and practices that applied a demoralizing system of
"catch and release" for illegal aliens that resulted in spiraling ineffectual
practices by Border Patrol and Custom Agents across the US, further degenerating
security?
Additional Impeachment Grounds
6) Did the President willfully neglect to
assume control of
emergency powers during the Katrina-New Orleans flood catastrophe whereby it was clearly
known that emergency services and resources were stifled and bureaucracies incompetently
bogged in "red tap" system failures that, A) resulted in the deaths
and suffering of countless Americans; B) that the president could have
taken action to abate such system failures and failed to act; C) that the president
could have taken steps emergency measures to replace incompetent officials but
purposely failed to take action?
Summation
President Bush's negligence in office is undeniable and his actions clearly show that
he set his alliances and allegiances against the best interest of the
American people, thereby forsaking his sacred Oath Of Office Of Presidency---nothing less than
the safety and welfare of all Americans put at severe and unnecessary risk.
Additional Notes
The impeccably conservative legal scholar and former Reagan aide Bruce
Fein explained the deep implications of the President's arrogance:
"If President Bush is totally unapologetic and says, 'I continue to
maintain that as a wartime President I can do anything I want -- I don't need to
consult any other branches,' that is an impeachable offense. It's more dangerous
than Clinton's lying under oath, because it jeopardizes our democratic
dispensation and civil liberties for the ages. It would set a precedent that...
would lie around like a loaded gun, able to be used indefinitely for any future
occupant."
