Why Amnesty Passes By Summer 2009 (Part II of II)By Xelan Bonn March 12, 2008 In Part I of this article, we examined how the pro-illegal immigration/open borders/NAU community is holding all the aces, power, money, and strategy and cohesive organization and leadership capabilities. And we explored how the anti-crowd lacks in the same key areas and is especially unable to organize and mobilize the public, as well as how they are essentially unarmed offensively, having no overriding strategic plan or unifying vision, organization, or leadership that would allow them an offensive victory. Now let’s look at some other important facts. Arizona recently enacted tough anti-illegal immigration legislation with great effect. Illegal aliens are fleeing the state and moving to other states and perhaps as many as one-third or more are returning to Mexico. Meanwhile, most of the other states are still suffering from a lack of similar legislation, thereby becoming the new magnets for illegals who have been cast out from other states or cities. Meantime, illegal border crossings remain steady while violence there is escalating. Most major media still prefers to tout “amnesty on the horizon” and as the facts become more will known, a major influx in illegal immigration is expected later in the year and well into next year. We know this from the 2005 influx that came after President Bush made “amnesty statements” to the press—some estimates reported that 10 million illegal aliens came in—advertising works! And then there is the recent announcement by the select members in the Senate to begin pushing through another tough-stance legislation bill on illegal immigration and the border. However, they have little support from the majority Dems who are awaiting re-election and who are planning their next major amnesty attack, so hopes for these bills becoming successful are largely filled with air rather than solid chance—unless, of course, the abstaining members in Congress can be pressured by the public in sufficient numbers to change their course of action. Given what is known about the anti-crowd activist community, there is little chance of that happening. The bottom line is that the illegal immigration problem is getting worse, not better, and amnesty, which is coming, will increase the problem, not solve it, so what can be done to avoid what appears inevitable? After-all, every strategy used by the anti-crowd thus far has proven itself failed if we look at where we stand today—the problem is larger, not solved—so now what? Well there is still a white horse left in the race and surprisingly, victory for the anti-crowd could be well in hand, but only if they will rethink and re-constitute in time. First and foremost, the anti-illegal immigration crowd must realize its own predicament and in having done this, come to terms with each other toward reconciling their petty differences. They must realize that the “means” is not as important as the “end” or final solution—they can all essentially get what they generally want if they will approach the problem differently. This means giving up their own ideas and working with others to form a more comprehensive and compromise solution that essentially achieves some level of victory rather than ensures complete defeat (as the current strategy does). The anti-crowd must begin to unify under a single strategy and coordinated effort toward a single end-game and be willing to back their play 100%. This requires forming a coalition and the members deferring to that coalition and its leadership using democratic principles. They must nominate and vote in their leader and then agree to follow that leader even if they are not in full agreement of the plan—for only a unified and cohesive front by a strong activist community core can win against such major opposition. Next, the coalition members must organize their resources, list their strengths and weakness, and then begin filling in their weakness using “action plans” while capitalizing on their strengths and helping each other leverage their abilities, community reach, and over-all effectiveness. Meanwhile, the coalition leadership must organize an over-all strategy working with key coalition advisors, size-up the oppositional forces, plot both a defensive action and most importantly an offensive action. The groundwork must be laid to secure what is missing in the victory puzzle, and the coalition prepared to execute their over-all strategy and action plan. Second, it is not enough that activist get involved and join forces, they must also get the public involved and mobilized (their key role) toward supporting their plan and pressuring the Congress into moving in their direction all the way to final victory. This element is critical, for no win is possible without it given these controversial issues and the current political polarizations. Donate Now - Help Us Keep You InformedThird, in order to effectively rally voters, the offensive plan will require something that is tangible enough so that voters can understand it, learn from it, and support it—a bill proposal of their own. This is needed to provide the necessary focal point around which everyone can do their native-like dance (e.g. rally around the bonfire—there is nothing like a raging bonfire and thousands of screaming dancers to get the party attracting more partiers/voters!). Forth, when critical mass is achieved, that is, when enough voters are dancing around the bonfire, they will then become a formidable power that must be directed constructively to form an attack arrow. The arrow must be aimed at the heart of Congress and the White House toward ensuring that tremendous political pressure pushes them toward enacting the bill (hence the tip of the arrow penetrates and voter power finally trumps political bribe power). This is best achieved while the elections still loom, while candidates still worry for their jobs. Fifth, sometimes it takes more than a single arrow to fall the beast, so a constant and sustained attack must be applied until the opposition is worn down and defeated (this, ironically, is the strategy the opposition is using now on the anti-crowd). Sixth, the team must ensure it secures a helmsman (or helmswoman) able to know when to lead, when to shoot the arrow, when to retreat, and when to reconstituted his or her forces so that resources will not be needlessly squandered. The helmsman must have the coalition’s best over-all interests in heart and not be a hidden enemy disguised in sheep’s clothing able to derail progress but rather the genuine article, a champion for the people, a statesman of sorts, and a person with experience and leadership skills able to stir past the minefields and get the coalition boat to land on the shores of victory. That helmsman must be open and honest, without revealing too much of the over-all or detailed strategies that could ultimately aid the opposition, yet still able to effect respectable transparency that assures the coalition members they are on course. Finally, for any helmsman to be successful, they must have a loyal crew that is willing to be lead through thick and thin. Each follower must understand their vital role as key spokes in the wheel, the leader at the hub, and all must be willing to help the wheel roll forward toward victory as a team. Lastly, there is the critical aspect of timing that must be applied. The spokes of the wheel must be gathered and assembled into the wheel and the wheel moved forward before the fires of oppositional forces consume all their past efforts. There will be no more of a powerful time to mount an offensive attack then before, not after, the elections while politicians still fear for their jobs. Today, we can clearly see amnesty and the NAU moving forward and preparing a major assault so time runs against the anti-crowd while all delaying tactics (e.g. foolishly waiting on attrition plans to work) only serve the opposition and will not secure a victory but only ensure defeat. Given these provisos and the current state of affairs of the anti-crowd, all does appear lost… or maybe not? The Patriot Union of America has prepared a winning strategy and offensive bill solution which is ready to go ( www.SafeAmericaAct.com ). This bill cuts across many major issues, including immigration, both illegal and legal, overpopulation, Constitutional redresses, stopping the NAU, protecting American jobs, installing fair trade, and more toward fixing Broken America. The overriding goal is to show how these issues are interrelated and interdependent as well as bring together a wide swath of activists and US voters from all corners of the major issues so that obtaining "voter critical mass in the millions" can be achieved. And they have established the Safe America Act Coalition (SAAC), in which the members will eventually elect their team leader who will take them forward into victory. What remains to be seen is if the SAAC team will form to ensure a win or if they will remain a scattered, fractionalized community of self-serving activists, groups, and nonprofits that gracefully or angrily accept their inevitable defeat—and the coming self-implosion of the United States of America—the choice is theirs. America, by all summations, by all big-picture, in-depth, investigative research and an examination of the collective day's current events and their true underlying causes, is already lost. That much is clear. What remains unknown is if American activists and citizens will care enough to join forces in the nick of time and turn it all around—there is no power greater than that of the American people standing together as one, yet no privilege of citizenship expended more frivolously than in today's America—for the greatest fight is not with those who seek to oppress and destroy America from within, but with our own indolence in our collective citizenship!
