Kennedy Immigration Reform Bill

Editorial Comment By PUA President Xelan Bonn

WASHINGTON, D.C. - April 2, 2007

Senator Kennedy's immigration bill (Mar 2007) is absolutely one of the worse pieces of anti-American legislation ever devised in 21st Century America.

The Senator makes the erroneous claim that deporting criminal aliens will disrupt society and businesses and cost taxpayers billions. He fails to disclose the true cost of "amnesty" in both societal and financial aspects like so many other used car salespersons on the Hill trying snow the public---he fails to expose the great benefits of extricating illegal aliens from US soil and shutting down the criminal enterprises that exploit such criminal labor or the fact that he supports such criminal activity by trying to amnesty it rather than punish it.

The PUA faxed the Senator the real cost for giving 25 to 33 million illegal aliens a "path to citizenship"-- a cost that ranges from $1.40 trillion (today's dollars) to over $3.35 trillion (with inflation added) over the next 20 years. These costs are based on an 1992 INS study of 2.8 million amnestied illegal aliens in 1986, as well as extension calculations conducted by the Patriot Society to bring the data current [download full report].

Congress failed to repair illegal immigration and open borders in 1986 and for the last 20 years. This policy equates to a defacto federal policy which embraces: open immigration, support for domestic terrorism by aiding and abetting terrorists to enter and remain on US soil, and one of flooding the US with impoverished immigrants toward expediting the country's bankruptcy and eventual dismantling of the sovereignty itself. Such policies are negligent, incompetent, and irresponsible as well as provide incalculable dangers to America and Americans.

Had the Congress resolved open border and illegal immigration issues like they falsely promised to do with the 1986 amnesty, we would not need such harsh measures now to recover---the blame for stronger, corrective measures falls squarely on Congress and its undeniable incompetence then and now---Senator Kennedy's attempt to sweep this under the rug is not only blatantly embarrassing, it should mark the end of his career---as he clearly no longer represents Americans and their interests but supports big business and foreign interests or the demise of the country itself or he has become so incompetent that he is unable to make clear-headed decisions---in all cases, retirement is called for.

Among other things, here are the costs taxpayers have to look forward to under the Senator's bill:

By the year 2040 the US will be bankrupt, according to the Comptroller of the Government Accounting Office, unless we make changes to government now. The Senator's plan will speed US bankruptcy, and close the gap to a 2025 date! That's a true American looking out for America, yes! As the Senator was notified of these facts, he has no plausible deniability.

We live in a time when all the past sins of the Congress and White House have come to bear a major financial burden on American society and the Senator wants to deepen our troubles by adding one third more to our national debt. Besides being illegal (to increase the debt by this factor), the bill proposal promotes mismanagement of US resources---the funds that will be spent to supplement impoverished illegal aliens given amnesty are needed disparately in other areas of government, not the least of which is Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare (and hundreds of other areas).

Senator's Bill Aids Domestic Terrorism!

Terrifying to most Americans is the fact that these so called "earned path to citizenship" or "amnesty" plans, according the Patriot Society report, will result in aiding domestic terrorism by keeping terrorists on US soil (among the more benign illegal aliens). Such an act or bill is illegal under the Patriot Act and makes the Congress liable for criminal charges during any future administration who so wishes to revisit current acts. The Senator's bill violates the very law he helped enact!

The bottom line is this...

Under the Senator's logic, we should not enforce our laws because it's too disruptive. In other words, our laws are meaningless and the Senator proposes anarchy instead! The brilliance of this logic is impressive! Why do we need a Congress if our laws are meaningless?

The Senator says harsher penalties like deportation would disrupt businesses. Wow! All those criminal enterprises undermining our tax system won't have anymore criminal labor---just legalize their criminal activity---no punishment---again, brilliant!

Here's a clue---if every illegal alien is deported and every US company that is hiring and using illegal aliens goes out of business tomorrow, it won't hurt Americans---they don't have those jobs anyway, Senator! And the law abiding, non-tax-avoiding companies will swamp in to take up the slack and offer Americans those jobs---imagine that---millions of new jobs for Americans overnight and millions of criminals and corrupt businesses sent packing---bad plan? And equally beneficial is the fact that as job gaps widen, employers will be forced to pay a more "livable" wage to US citizens---bad plan?

Go with the amnesty idea instead, Senator? Be soft on crime. Help foreigners rob the coffers of America---brilliant! Reward businesses for breaking the law---clever beyond compare! Send a message to all American children that if crime is done long enough and in mass numbers, it will be forgiven! What a role model idea---what's next, Senator, amnestying mass murders because they do it in mass?

The Senator and his team need to read PIB-9111 and learn the true facts surrounding illegal immigration and precisely what is at stake and to quit pandering to big business and special interest and foreign governments like Mexico. Undermining the US sovereignty and American wage earners and taxpayers is anti-American and that's what this bill does.

The American people need to read PIB-9111 and then storm the Congress and White House with pickets and maybe even toilet paper---if Americans break the law by the millions, Congress will simply "amnesty" everyone so don't worry!

Any Congressperson who supports "amnesty" after examining all the facts presented in PIB-9111 is without equivocation an absolute anti-American and should seriously consider immediately resigning their post because the patriots of this country will likely rise up to hound them out of office anyway.

Americans want law abiding, law respecting, loyal Americans in office. Americans want law abiding citizens who follow the law to become citizens---not those who criminally trespass US soil and commit multiple felonies in order to obtain falsified or forged documents, cross the borders, and work illegally.

American do not want to waste trillions of hard earned tax dollars on criminal foreigners and criminal businesses when Americans themselves so desperately need the funds, jobs, social and health services, and higher wages that such criminal activities deny them!

Senator Kennedy's bill is a slap in the face to all Americans and frankly, a disgrace to the Kennedy legacy---Jack would not approve---not even close!

Try America and Americans first next time, Senator!
