The 4th of July Lincoln Memorial Steps Speech That Never Was... Today we face many enemies of freedom, liberty, and sovereignty. Even our leaders have failed us, but of things I am most ashamed is something so unspeakable, so unthinkable, so deleterious to our country, it must hide its true and shameful face from liberty's public light. Our country’s Forefathers understood what freedom was, and they took painstaking efforts to craft for us one of the greatest Constitutions on our planet. However, it is just another piece of paper without the vigilance, protection, and upholding of its ideals and laws by its citizens. Many American warriors gave their blood to American Freedom so that we could rest in our homes safe from tyranny, oppression, poverty, and many of the things that other countries are still battling with. We have risen to be a wealthy superpower because of our past ethics, honesty, hard work, and a collective commitment on behalf of our country—and a founding parchment of ideals we chose to all live by—and even some to die for. Yet our enemy is not the Middle East, or the thought of being defeated once again, or of having to face packs of terrorists abroad, or here, on US soil. And yet this is formidable. Our enemy is not the hidden states who secretly fund terrorism toward destroying The West, America, and her allies. And yet, too, this is formidable. Our enemy is not South of the Border or foreign fist-waving adversaries standing on our own soil who overtly or secretly plot conquest of Her Majesty's borderlands, treasure, and social constructs, having a warped sense of values that seek to convert US soil to the bowels of the Third World failures that so many have fled. Neither is our enemy the millions of impoverished and oppressed warriors we willingly accept, or those who come here in violation of our sovereign principals and laws who collectively suckle their ill-be-gotten gains from America's unaffordable generosity while undermining, by their great numbers, the very social fabric of America with their refusal to assimilate to us while capturing our citizen's valuable opportunities, community treasure, and even their lives in an undeclared war. Nor is our enemy those who traffic great poisons across our borders and pervert the future of our nation's innocent youth. And yet, my fellow Americans, this is all formidable. Our enemy is not with our self-serving or special interest leaders who fail to mobilize or act in unison to keep us safe from an invading enemy both over and clandestine, or who fail to ensure against a spiraling and treacherous national debt that threatens collapse of not only our currency, but of our entire economy, and perhaps even our nation and hard won democracy. Our enemy is not with our corrupted leaders whose nests are soft-feathered by global elites or their own leadership incompetency in understanding the degenerative qualities of unregulated trade and economic and safety institutions - failed policies once put asunder 100 years past in this seedling nation, curtailed only with long suffering and uprising by the masses so weary then of slave labor, tired of child abuse at labor's hand, weary of unjust deaths and oppression around the neck's of a hard working people, a crushing blow pressed by the feet of unfettered capitalism - America's history near forgotten. And now the ancient affliction has re-sprouted and once again the wrenching army of corporate monsters marches to the chant of maximized profits at the expense of Citizen America. For the heart of the American Spirit and Dream has been stabbed coldly by the glaring beams of failed leaderships whose collective dark eyes set their gaze away from decency, away from ethics and humanity, and in their stead toward self-interests and fear of hidden dark lords... and this, friends, is truly formidable, perhaps too, insurmountable. For today, our leaders no longer value our Lady of Pride, our symbolic Majesty and Queen of Liberty, our America. She no longer sits on high, on a mantle of esteem by world nations and their citizens, or by Citizen America. No! She has been castigated! Tossed into the dark alleys of despair, kicked into the gutter of hopelessness, fleeced of her treasures. She is now treated like a sullied prostitute to be abused at will by our leaders - to be scorned by smiling two-faced pimps who seek only to satiate self-interests - offering nigh a sully coin in payment with their scornful farewells that kicked her to death slowly so as not be noticed by the passer bys. For they chant "free trade" and seek "sovereignty dismantling" at the sacred church of "globalism" and align themselves with foreign overlords riding in curtain drawn transnational carriages that hold no allegiance to our gutter bleeding maiden. Allow my pause, for I must swallow my tears... for my heart weighs heavy for my beloved nation... For I can spy my lofty Torch Bearer weeping for all of us too, gazing upon our self-inflicted wounds, thinking she had taught us so much better. For our enemy is none of the outward destroyers of the American Dream, sovereignty, democracy, and freedom, but it is of a far more deadly foe—a foe that will soon, if left unchecked, ensure the complete annihilation of our country and all our children and the children who might have come into a future America. The enemy I speak about is us—the American Citizen collective—the most formidable foe of our time! The American Citizen who has relished in a daily life, living in great privilege, secure in freedom and democracy paid for by the blood of others; the American Citizen who thinks little of the economic benefits of living in a First World country, sponging and leaching off the benefits supplied to them through the blood of innumerable fallen heroes whose families bore great sacrifice in giving us all a better life, clinging to the community treasure chest as if entitled and due. The American Citizen who daily shames our Constitution with overt complacency, disrespect, and a devaluing judgment eroded by the minions of extremist liberals or conservatives who hold little or no allegiance to this or any sovereignty—certainly not to the American people and the future of our children—certainly not to the collective interests of the "common good." For it is the American Citizen that shames our children by not debating, not voting, and not partaking in the greatest single privilege that our Forefathers presented to us from a blood soaked alter—that evanescent mantle of freedom that tries to escape us with each fiery step forward in our fight for an ever more fleeting liberty—American citizenship ostracized, no longer exercised. For it is the American Citizen who disrespects “We The People” when spewing forth the obfuscating language of “political correctness” that is so subversive to our First Amendment and democracy, that fails to spur creative, robust, heated, and civil debates, both privately and publicly, in order to ensure a strong democratic process and protect our fragile freedoms—to keep secure our democracy—to protect our children's legacy. For only by exposing the ugliness of possible wrong paths and ideas may we find a shinning way that brightens and exposes a more beautiful light into tomorrow. For it is the American Citizen that shames our children and their future generations who, at our current pace in our collective dereliction of our duty as Americans, may likely never grow up knowing what a Constitution or a middleclass or voting privilege-turned-right was—having once been relegated to a new world—a Third World—a reality brought upon us by a liberal use of political smoke and mirrors churned by a duplicitous and elitist operated establishment—and ruling powerbase that lead us not toward Utopia but into a charred, apocalyptic tomorrow void of Old Glory and the precious words and examples of ancient leaders and visionaries that once guided our ship so soundly. For when Americans fail to participate and value their freedom, to embrace history as insurance against wrong pathways, then they fail themselves, their children, and our future. They create in step fashion a new world—one without hope, or freedom, or democracy, but one with pain, suffering, and a deep void of apathy from which fascism can more easily rush in and fill. And today it is rushing in, like a creeping black wind just beneath the shallow veneer of public facades and faces... rushing in to fill our great leadership halls, and to shadow our monuments, and to fill our national lungs with a growing stench not unlike that of a bygone era, an era once wrought asunder by the power of not-so-great men who were given to the pressures of war, both shouting and silent—scorching and putrefying war where black earth was carried on bone-biting winds chilled with hatred—wars avoidable had Care taken the stage and more wise and altruistic leaders held up the orbs of justice and truth, that the light of wisdom might forge instead a greater peace, and make certain a astounding tomorrow. Today, I stand before you as a dieing breed in America. I stand before you as a patriot—unafraid to challenge the "status quo," or to be called to action to secure my country, whether by vote, or debate, or outspokenness, or even by sword in her defense, if need arise—unafraid to be called "patriot," American, or just citizen. Make no mistake that I am proud to be a US citizen even though I may heavily criticize my country and its leaders.. and my fellow citizens. Make no mistake I fight to defend her honor and freedom and the honor and sacrifices of all patriots who have fallen to defend her in the past, and the rights of others to criticize me. For had I been born to the era of 1776, I would have raised my musket and toiled under canon to plant that rare seed of freedom our Forefathers so highly treasured, for I too long for its fruits to come to the plump again, to offer their fragrance to all who might pour their life-force to nourish this, the most sacred of seeds, a rare idea turned from a romantic thought into the mightiest of nations—a tree the great ones called Liberty. For I am not afraid to be called a patriot, guardian to Liberty, defender of my fellow patriots, champion to new ideas tempered with ancient and proven wisdoms, forged from the light of the Great Ones, the Sons Of Liberty, to which I am but a drop of cooling wax in compare. But as much as I can fight, as much as I do fight, I can see that I am losing not only the battle, but the war to my fellow American Citizens. For increasingly, I stand alone, and in that growing solitude I find the stinging tears that wipe more clean a fleeting vision of tomorrow’s liberty with each new passing day. For the future slips before me into a black, unthinkable void where tomorrow's children... those shinning eye Americans anew... our hope for the everlasting America of justice, and humanity, and freedom... now but fleeing zephyrs, slain ghosts against an ever increasing dark landscape void of hope, and now pouring out, like a sad river, all its tomorrows. I see in my vision that patriotism has become so shamefully low, participation so dismal that I care not to think of those who were statistically absent from our last elections, failed to participate in freedom, failed to show us an example as to why they deserve anything at all from their country. For they routinely shame our fallen flag soldiers of blood sacrifice who we wrapped in so many burial stars and stripes—those that gave their undying spirit that we might all partake in a better future America. It is for them I am called to tears. It is for the ungrateful that I raise my sword in so bitter an anguish. For the American Citizen must reexamine their collective future and that of America’s and either destroy apathy and raise the banner of fight and chase liberty and freedom back to their high mantle of prize, or keep open its doors to our enemies that we may all perish on their swords. For who among the ungrateful should be allowed to inherent privilege of Citizenship, and stroll so caviler in the Garden of Liberty, partaking so freely of it fruits of freedom, nourished, as was said by an ancient American hero, by the blood of patriots? For I could not give a penny for man or woman who calls his or herself an American Citizen and yet who fails to protect her, our country, our America whose veins now course with the blood of thieves rather than patriots. For anyone who calls himself an American Citizen and takes from this country like a greedy criminal, without thought for law, or honor, or sobriety, or respect for the Constitution or our heritage, or without thanks from his or her fellow American or the life-oblations given, they are but an enemy to me and my fellow patriots and I shall not succumb to calling them Americans or citizens, for they are neither to me or their country. I will leave here today and I will continue the fight for our freedoms and patriotism, and honor and safety, and most of all, that wondrous evanescent light called liberty—that brilliant angel which guided so many so long ago to these great shores, to carve out the world’s greatest country—and I will suffer no longer those who would carve off their freedoms at my expense, satiate their hunger for my Rights, ride so easily upon their Red Coat couches and tyrannical armchairs that march against the American Citizen’s participation in “We The People.” Do not approach me if you are not willing to accept the great and noble responsibly of being an American Citizen. You may be born to America, or given her honor in name only, but you must earn her seeds of respect, and sow it upon your fellow American or she will cast you out of the garden one way or the other—and I am her patriot and I will gladly help her when she is just and you are revealed so long as I am able. For a great man of the Spirit once said, pluck out that which offends the body, that the living body and soul might shine, and unto that power I, too, am resolved. Do not approach me if you are unwilling to invest time in your country or in the occasion of selfless gifts that benefit your fellow Citizen, whether it be political research or oral discourse, or strong debate, or demonstrating the march, or penning the word, or a volunteering effort, or lobbying leaders, or assuming community action or leadership, or in the sacred privilege of voting—safeguard America and Americans and they will do the same unto you—or cast off her shores and find your island of treachery from which to ply your ungrateful disrespect, where we patriots implore you to impale yourself on your own lazy and seditious sword, for America will not honor you, not ever. For if you are not an American patriot holding up your duties as a prized citizen, you shame and disrespect all American Citizens who must do the heavy lifting for you in your absence. For if you are not on the American team, then we pray you will join us soon, or leave us completely. But if you are a fellow patriot, a citizen who values liberty and displays their heart in actions, I would ask that you approach me. I would ask that you participate in one of thousands of ways to help your country and fellow Citizen. I would ask for your contributions in time or money or support or in whatever little or grand way that you might offer—for your gifts, no matter how small or large, will be respectfully laid on the mantel of freedom in preservation of her majesty, and her ideals, and her blessed children, the sons and daughters who have earned the right to call themselves patriots—true Citizens America. “We The People” shall eternally reward those who protect and honor our liberty, and Rights, and our Constitution—and who sacrifice their time and efforts to bestow on us the ultimate gift to bless our nation—American Citizenship exercised fully and respectfully! For freedom and respect are not given freely, they are only earned in the fires of hard work and long toil, in the name of what is right, not by guide of profits or self interests. Today, on the Forth of July, we solemnly bow our heads to those great, unvanquished American heroes, Great Citizens, unnamed, unnumbered, undaunted, even those of great notoriety both—all of whom have given us the greatest gift in the history of humankind—America! Bless the American Patriot! Bless them one and all! Bless America! And keep safe the Tree Of Liberty from whose shade and Spirit we gather to protect... and eat of her fruits so sweetly—The American Dream!
