Membership Details

Overview 

As a PUA member, you will be affiliated with the soon-be-largest group of Americans ever assembled in the name of democracy and government preservation. The PUA grows through its affiliation with other political organizations across the US who subscribe to better government and policy making. As a PUA member, you will become part of the largest nonpartisan lobbying group in American history---WE THE PEOPLE (or so we plan).

1. All PUA members will have access to our national news letter (when available) for up-to-date information on the latest developments on the political forefront.

2. You will rest secure in the knowledge that the PUA is formulating the nation's first ever "true" national referendum system, in which all PUA Card Carrying members are asked to participate--future federal law making that can bypass Congress and the President--imagine that--you're helping us to make it possible!

3. On the issues you're most concerned with, we will either do the research or guide you to others who have done it so you can make the best use of your precious time.

4. We prepare position statements, plea letters, research studies, surveys, reports, Public Initiative Bills (PIBs), lobby Congress and the White House, and more.

5. We give you the tools to maximize your time as a hard working American so that you are better able to directly participate in your democracy and future based on the guiding principle of, "You give us 10 minutes a month and we'll give you a better future." 

6. We provide the power to help move government on top key issues--with millions of members all working toward change on "common good" projects that we can all agree on, we can make progress on at least some critical areas of government, lawmaking, and policy making. Power is restored into the hands of the people.

7. Congressional members and even the President will no longer be able to do as they please without facing detailed and focused scrutiny and public action that can potentially overturn their decisions, especially on issues that are typically avoided, such as Term Limits, Congressional Salary Caps, Lobbying Reform, and many more aspects that law makers have been traditionally reluctant to make changes on. We The People will make those changes happen as we speak in powerful numbers collectively.

8. We fight for the average American and represent their needs, under the assumption that what is good for tomorrow's children is good for today's America and Americans!

9. We give the average American a true voice that actually does count quite literally in the decisions of government and democracy.

10. As America's voice and future evolves, the PUA evolves with it because we are made up of Americans--all working together and reflecting current events and mindsets toward installing timely and innovative solutions under democratic principles and growing participation.

11. Supporting the PUA is also support for your favorite nonprofit organization and potentially some of its goals. Not only does a portion of you membership fee in the PUA go to our Affiliates, but the PUA works with other organizations to bring their issues to light and scrutiny when they meet with the PUA's "common good" standards.

PUA Membership Details

Patriot Union of America (PUA) 

            1. PUA Card Carrying Membership - $12

            For those US citizens legally eligible to vote in US elections, select this membership, whether you are currently registered or not. These members are tabulated toward the official voting membership roles submitted to Congress and others. In 2008, the PUA will send you a PUA registration card that requires the same information as voter registration, which you must sign and return to the PUA to be eligible to vote on PUA polls and PIBs.

            2. PUA Associate Membership - $4

            For those US citizens ineligible to vote in US elections, select this membership (i.e. children, teenagers, convicted felons, legal immigrants in process, etc.). You may participate in most-all PUA systems, however, the protocol requires that we tabulate these votes separately when showing PUA member support to Congress (Associate member votes are tabulated as unofficial votes but do show community support). 

            3. PUA Ambassador Membership For Business and Organizations - $25,000

            Ambassador members will be given prominent mention at all major PUA functions for the year as well as entitlements to advertising on the PUA Web site. These are non-voting memberships only. Membership applications are by mail only and subject to Board Approval. Applications without the accompanying membership fee are not processed or reviewed. Each Ambassador will receive a prestigious, engraved PUA wall plaque suitable for prominent office mounting.

Be advised that Ambassador Memberships are not subject to the PUA Affiliate Agreement or Program. 

What's Included In My PUA Membership?

Each PUA member receives:

1. A unique identification number, which is used for participating in Member Surveys and other online aspects (when our login system comes online).

2. PUA Membership Card (available after April 2, 2008).

3. Monthly PUA Newsletter (when available) by opt-in.

4. Access to special events, sign-ups, and more.

5. Card Carrying Members will also receive a Log-On Code so they can participate in official PUA online surveys and vote on the PUA Web site (when service becomes available).

6. Knowledge that you are helping make history as we grow America's largest and most powerful lobbying union for the "common good" consisting of WE THE PEOPLE! and not special interests or big business.

Note: We are just getting things organized so bear with us during our the 2007-08 roll-out year while we try to catch up - demand has been overwhelming - but we'll eventually get to you so please understand that we need your patience and help on that. Thanks!

Membership fees and donations are non-refundable. 

All membership fees and donations are NOT tax deductible (unless specifically specified as such). Although the PUA is a not-for-profit organization, due to its political nature, the IRS does not allow tax deductible contributions.

The PUA reserves the right to deny any level membership to anyone with or without cause. If membership is denied during the first half of the membership period, a pro-rated amount of the membership fee will be returned to the denied member. If membership is denied during the second half of the membership year, no refund will be given.

For-profit corporations may NOT sit on any board, vote, or otherwise participate in PUA platforms. However, they may be invited to be heard at selected Round Table gatherings of the membership and leadership in order to gather industry perspectives.

The terms of membership are subject to change at any time and without notice.

Corporate Sponsors and Advertisers

The PUA does not specifically or by implied consent endorse any corporate product or service advertised on its Web site or in its materials or publications. All corporate sponsors have signed a release acknowledging that the PUA will not withhold negative information about their company if the information disclosure is proven warranted by the PUA administrators or membership.
