PUA - A National Umbrella & Voting UnionServing Both Voters and Grass Roots / Nonprofit OrganizationsBesides assisting the US citizenry, the PUA was designed from its inception to work on behalf of other grass roots and nonprofit organizations toward helping them improve their public reach and resources as well as their capabilities and project results. The PUA serves two essential roles: 1) acts as national umbrella facilitator for local, state, and national organizations and other grass roots activists, 2) acts as a place for voters to coalesce in a show of power to government and its officials (hence voting union). All organizations who join the PUA can access the PUA and its membership. This offers organizations across the nation a multitude of synergies. They can increase their reach to the public / voter, share resources and information, and essentially extend their capabilities and effectiveness many fold. Voters win by having central place in which to access all things political to learn and make more informed choices as well as to stand as one on common good issues and participate with their fellow Americans toward improving their own government, hence future--all through the free exercise of democratic principles. Please note that PUA does not internally set its own agenda on the issues---these are set by both the member organizations and the PUA's members---both of whom are asked to participate by voting and taking polls and surveys that are designed to establish the PUA's direction and mandate. In other words, the PUA is a democracy in its truest form so the more Americans and organizations who join, the better resource it becomes for all. Also, it is important to note that the PUA will never ask anybody to drop their association with other nonprofits or special or focused interests groups. The PUA strongly believes that diversity and focus brings heighten knowledge and details to the issues at hand and makes for better public debate, hence better decision making when vote time occurs (whether a PUA issue/aspect/solution vote or a public election vote). |
