PUA Position Statement

Note: Currently, Position Statements have been drafted by the PUA Staff as an initial starting point. However, in the future, PUA Position Statements will be created with the direct input of the majority of PUA Card Carrying Members (public voters) and it will reflect the majority opinion. Therefore, your input as a PUA Member can change, often dramatically, the PUA Position Statements in the near and distant future so if you do not see your ideal opinion reflected here, remember, you can work to change it--the PUA is ruled by majority vote.

Our borders, both north and south and along our adjacent rivers and seaboards, must be protected from illegal intrusions as all cost. We are no longer a nation insulated by two oceans and the restrictions of air and ocean travel, but now open and exposed to our enemies---many who now utilize an underground system to leave the Middle East and arrive on US shores via Mexico.

The FBI has proven fully to Congress that al Qaeda is intending to use our borders (if they have not already) to enter the US and create large scale devastation to the American people on their own soil. Also, the FBI has stated to Congress that Hezbollah is already on US soil conducting largely fund raising activities and not yet terrorism activities.

In the over-all operating budget of the war ($3 billion per week now), the cost of securing our borders should no longer be an issue. For the cost of 6 months of war, we can fully safeguard America from foreign intrusion of both terrorists and drug and human traffickers, getting three times the bank for the buck!

The key issue is that once America pulls out of Iraq, the terrorist will be free to take the fight to US soil. An open border at that stage would spell disaster. On this issue alone, the PUA stands firmly in its belief that the US borders should be well secured and running at 99% operational integrity prior to the US pulling out of the Iraq---that the American people can be safeguarded from al Qaeda following our troops home!

Hezbollah & Al Qaeda Are On US Soil - Confirmed By Congress!

Amazingly, all Americans are nearly striped searched when being screened for domestic air travel as if we are all terrorists.

However, whatever happen to screening our borders for terrorists?

It makes no sense that America's borders must lay open to any would-be terrorists from a foreign country who can simply stroll into the US undetected across our Borders.

More puzzling is the fact that the President signed a bill allowing for 700 miles of new fence along the Mexican border, but has only built 13 miles--why is there a border fence smokescreen instead of strong, anti-terrorists security on our borders?

If the President was simply the person in charge of Homeland Security and they alone were responsible for ensuring a protected border, he would be fired instantly! Yet Americans accept the President's behaviors and lack of concern for their safety---and the same goes for Congress!

Let's briefly look at what uncontrolled "open borders" get the American tax payer (learn many more facts and details in Operation Safe America):

Are you frightened or angry about these facts? You might pick up the phone and call your Congressman or Senator or President---and write and demonstrate and do whatever you need to do to help protect yourself and your family. Let's get that border sealed now---before it's too late!
