Bonn Fires On Hispanic Caucus For Wrongly Demanding Amnesty For Felons(Correction Posted 5-18-2008) Commentary by PUA Staff Once a decent, fair, and ethical group, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (HC) has sunk to an all time new low in American politics. The group's recent lambasting of Congress for not tabling and passing comprehensive amnesty for millions of law violators, who on average, have committed at least one felony to either arrive on US soil illegally, or secure forged and fraudulent documents, or to secure work illegally, are now to be granted more rewards for their criminal behavior, according to the HC. "It's not enough that our country suffers over $300 billion a year in combined detriments from illegal immigration, or the death of thousands of US citizens yearly, or the rape and molestation of over 2,000 of our innocent children each year by those who should not be on US soil to begin with, but a growing number of groups are now displaying irresponsible, self-serving, corrupted morals, ethics, and disdain for the rule-of-law like crude ally cats - trying to influence our leadership to do the wrong thing and reward lawbreakers at the expense of our sovereignty, safety, treasure, and jobs." said Xelan Bonn, PUA founder. "And what's worse, doing it as though they represent all US citizen Hispanics when, in fact, they represent less than 25% of that group--a clear minority," said Bonn. "Any leader who panders to these ethnocentric and corrupted groups should be immediately voted out of office and every American should send their representatives a friendly little warning letter to that very effect." he said. The following is the original article which sparked the controversy. ## Congressional Hispanic Caucus Blasts Democratic Leadership for not Including Amnesty in Congressional HearingsBy Federation For Immigration Reform WASHINGTON, D.C. - April 28, 2008 On Wednesday, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus held a press conference on Capitol Hill in which they criticized Democratic leadership for scheduling hearings on immigration enforcement and guest worker programs instead of taking up "comprehensive" immigration reform. The Congressional Hispanic Caucus reiterated their position that "comprehensive" immigration reform, which includes amnesty for the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants currently in the United States, is the only acceptable way of addressing our current immigration crisis. Expressing frustration that Democratic Leadership does not intend to address "comprehensive" immigration reform hearings announced by the Judiciary Committee last week, Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-AZ) called the Democratic leadership "spineless" and Rep. Gutierrez stated, "…we are no better than the Republican majority we replaced." Gutierrez insisted that all immigrants must be treated equally in terms of job opportunities and ability to become U.S. citizens. Shortly after the press conference, a spokesperson for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued a statement blaming Republicans for the impasse in passing immigration reform. The statement read: "Speaker Pelosi is committed to balanced, fair and bipartisan immigration reform legislation, but unless the president and the Republican leadership engage Democrats in a positive way instead of using this issue to score partisan political points, members will only grow more frustrated with the process." -END- |
