"Temporary Amnesty" Bombshell Hits Immigration!Advocacy Group Seeks Public Support (As A Reporter, I Find Some Of Your Language Usage Offensive!) WASHINGTON DC - June 25, 2007 A radical new bill proposal on immigration is now circulating in some Congressional circles, according to Washington insiders. Rather than focusing on the issues of immigration, attention is shifting to domestic security and illegal immigration with a plan that would give temporary amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. Representatives Duncan Hunter (R), Brian Bilbray (R), Tom Tancredo (R), Nancy Boyda (D), and select others are rumored to be entertaining bipartisan sponsorship of the new initiative but remain unwilling to comment, awaiting voter support. “The President is violating his oath of office—the sooner Americans learn who is on their soil and who potentially poses a terrorism threat, the sooner our children will be protected,” said plan author Xelan Bonn, president of the Patriot Union of America (PUA), a citizen’s advocacy and national umbrella voting union. “We know Hezbollah is on US soil and that al Qaeda is plotting to enter via our southern border—unless the FBI is lying to us,” he said. Known as the Safe America Act, the proposal would give illegal aliens 12 months to leave the US voluntarily, after which mandatory stiff fines, jail, and permanent barring from US soil, residency, work, visa, or citizenship programs would be imposed on remaining violators. To further ensure voluntary participation, additional incentives include providing one-time stipends of $1,000 per adult and $600 per child (paid from round-up savings), eligibility for a lottery offering up to ½ million citizenship gifts, free bus passes to federal processing centers, and humanitarian treatment and assistance to help reunite families in their home countries. Major bill focus would be on providing domestic, border, and port security to fight the war on terrorism from reaching into America’s heartland. A border fence from California through Texas would be funded and completed within 2 years. Border area Sheriffs would get immediate funding toward ensuring a 99% secure border within 90 days, while long-term Border Patrol ramp ups in technology, equipment, and personnel would move toward completion within 3 to 5 years. Enforcement of current immigration laws targeting employers would be increased while “catch and release” practices ended using new temporary processing centers and speeded deportation. A separate bill dealing with employee identification, verification, and enforcement systems would also be created. The issues of legal immigration and its impacts on US jobs would take place in future bill making after the 2008 elections, once the Constitutional requirement under Article 4, Section 4 requiring the deportation of all illegal aliens currently on US soil had been met, along with ensuring secure borders and domestic security, say organizers. “Amnesty schemes are unconstitutional because they sanction invasion and force states and their citizens to endure further harms, whether economic or otherwise,” said PUA Spokesperson Frosty Wooldridge. “Americans can’t afford to spiral the debt another $3-$9 trillion over 20 years to pay for amnesty schemes for law-breakers—not only are such schemes unconstitutional, they promote further law-breaking, fail to solve illegal immigration, and are financially incompetent—our country is already facing bankruptcy issues by 2025 and amnesty takes it near 2015.” The proposal and official public petition are on the PUA website: http://www.patriounion.org/reform.htm along with a 249 page comprehensive report on the issues illegal immigration, “Operation Safe America.” “America has a terrorist bulls-eye on it so open borders and illegal immigration is a recipe for suicide,” said Bonn. —30— Safe America Act (SAA)Join or Donate to help with SAA
