PUA Announces Patriot Society As Official Default Affiliate

Patriot Union of America (PUA), a citizen’s advocacy seeking to build the nation’s largest nonpartisan union of US citizen voters and serves as home to a planned national referendum system, announced that the Patriot Society will become its official Default Affiliate today.

Under the PUA's umbrella organization design, the PUA does not offer its own memberships without affiliate sponsorship. In the event public supporters come to the PUA Web site for membership and sign up directly, the Patriot Society will become their default choice for sponsorship.

Affiliate sponsors receive 25% of the annual PUA membership fees to cover their own marketing expenses in bringing new members to the PUA, as well as maintaining existing members and renewals.

"We want to support our Affiliates, not compete against them," said Courtland Young, Affiliate Manager. "Our Affiliate program is not only a revenue generator, but designed as a resource tool for our Affiliates. The benefits alone outside of revenue generation make PUA Affiliation very valuable," he said.

Who Can Become A PUA Affiliate?

Essentially any nonprofit political or public oriented organization, group or individual can become a member, with some limitations. The PUA reserves the right to deny Affiliation to any organization, group or individual who that is race-based or racists groups or groups who are generally considered by the public to be offensive in nature or promote hate or violence or who are international or foreign in nature.

"The PUA focuses on America and average Americans first and foremost and no other agendas or allegiances are allowed," said Young. "International or foreign based groups often have subverting agendas counter intuitive to our mission to promote patriotism and sound US policy making, and so much more," he said. 

Prospective members may join the PUA as an Affiliates free until April 2, 2008, after which time new Affiliates will likely be subject to a processing and set-up fee.

"This next year is our national roll-out and we expect a lot of growth through the Affiliation process," said Young. "If you are a member of the public and you want to join the PUA, call one of your favorite nonprofit organizations and ask them if they are a PUA Affiliate and if not, to sign up for it so you can join through them---they win, you win, and the PUA wins!"

PUA individual memberships are only $12 annually for US citizens qualified to vote and $4 for those who are unable to vote (i.e. children, etc.). Being registered to vote is not a requirement.    

The PUA was founded earlier this year by longtime business executive Xelan Bonn is goaled with obtaining 10 million members by the summer of 2008 and over 60 million members by 2010.
