News ReleaseFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE August 10, 2007PUA To Upgrade Website - Future For American Political Process Brightens The Patriot Union of America announced plans to begin the second phase upgrade of a 10 phase technology plan today.
The current changes were started last month and are scheduled to run throughout the year as the organization reorganizes the way it handles information and services for both the public and its members.
A new poll and survey section will be added along with a new forum to allow for political discussion on all the major issues, said organizers.
"We want to make a one-stop launching pad for grass-rooters where they can come, research the issues from white papers to commentary to video stories and more," said Mark Adams, IT manager for the group. "One of the coolest things will be the grassroots directory, whereby anyone can find either local, state, or national groups focused on the issues that interest them so they can more easily get involved," he said.
The organization admits the current HTML version of the site is still not up to the ASP technology standards they're aiming for, but during this critical design, testing, and content filling stage, such basic technology actually speeds the over-all process by making it easier to work out the bugs, winners, and losers, before settling on a more permanent design. The current version hopes to offer consumers the information they need while providing the critical feedback and insight the organization needs as it begins to build out what will eventually become one of the most sophisticated Web sites on the planet, using online voting encryption technology once only reserved for the US military.
"Eventually Americans will be able to vote on federal laws from the security of their home using hacker-proof encryption technology coupled with an off-line verification and certification system," said Adams. "However, we need to walk before we run so we will grow and learn and tweak and redesign but in the end it will be a phenomenal system on the back end and easy as eating pie on the front-end," he said.
"Our motto is simple. Give us 10 minutes per month and we'll give you a better America," said PUA president Xelan Bonn. "We are committed to bringing Americans back to the political involvement table and our technology and approach concepts are the water Americans have been logging for, now whether they chose to drink is another matter," he said.
The Patriot Union of America (PUA) is a citizen’s advocacy and national umbrella voting union working on political issues and solutions for the common good.
