IS

This ambitious project for the Web is designed to provide a porthole for PUA Affiliate Members to use as they see fit by offering a centralized contact point for all organizations, their projects, and resources for sharing, teaming up, or dividing up tasks and much more.

Example

Let say we have Organization A in Texas who has a $2,500 budget and 2 volunteers and a great idea for how to stop nuclear proliferation on US soil. Let's say Organization B in Miami has 200 volunteers with lots of spare time. Organization C in Iowa has just received a big $1 million grant and needs to use up some of it on abating radio active waste pollution from nuclear reactors through public awareness campaigns. And let's say Organization J in Kansas and has a phone system with 70 volunteers and can operate for your cause for a small fee.

As you can see, each of these organizations as stand alones can not really achieve much on their own with their resources. Either they lack the personnel or the funds, or humanpower or a combination thereof.

Now assume a different scenario. Lets say Org. A post their project and resource needs on the IS-ONE system and wait for others to respond. A month passes and then suddenly, they receive an ALERT NOTICE from IS-ONE telling them they have a "live project" with willing members ready to proceed.

Org. A now has the aid and assistance of Orgs. B,C, and J and their resources can now act as project leader to get the ball rolling. Instead of not getting to do the project, IS-ONE has allowed them to leverage their resources---Org A now has a phone bank of 70 people working in Kansas while 200 volunteers hit the buses and streets to picket a nuclear reactor waste facility while Org A's workers alert the press corps and Org C foots the $5,200 bill to cover the project expenses and their mandate---everybody wins!
