| TALKING POINTS: Xelan Bonn Confronts Illegal Immigration Questions & Rallies Activists To OrganizeThese talking points come from (3-18-08) preparation of a recent Republican Broadcasting radio show www.republicbroadcasting.org hosted by Frosty Wooldridge featuring Blogs For Borders Jake Jacobsen of www.freedomfolks.com & www.blogs4borders.blogspot.com. Patriot Union of America founder Xelan Bonn made the following responses to the same points. The subject is illegal immigration: 1A. We need to focus much of our efforts at the local and state level… Bonn: This strategy has already proven itself failed. Only a national level resolve will ensure uniformity and a final solution across the nation. Fixing laws in one city or state only forces the problem to other cities and states. 1B…We need to continue to send Washington a loud and clear message that we don’t want any form of amnesty. Bonn: This is not a strategy, but merely a tactic that has not as yet been executed well by the collective anti-illegal immigration groups and orgs. For if it had been, this problem would have been resolved long ago by Congress due to substantial political pressure from their constituents. A mere 2 million screaming voters in the anti-illegal immigration group across the US has already proven itself inadequate toward convincing Washington to go against the wealthy transnational corporations--a group that is feathering the political campaign contribution nests of Congress and promoting open borders and amnesty toward securing the North American Union (a proven fact, by the way). 2. The 14th Amendment has been grossly abused, and it’s vital to the welfare of our country that we stop granting “birthright citizenship” to anyone who manages to get across the border to give birth. Bonn: This is true but only a new law will correct it, which means the logic of “no new laws are needed” is proven wrong. A new law is needed to formally clarify the 14th Amendment and restore its original intent (which, by the way, became obsolete within a few decades of its creation). 3. It is impossible for a country to wage a “war on terror” while its borders are wide open. Bonn: This national security dichotomy is the most overlooked aspect of illegal immigration and open borders—how can the president take away several Constitutional Rights under the guise of the 9-11 terrorist attacks, tell us terrorism is a threat, and then deliberately leave our borders unsecured for any would-be terrorists and their WMDs to come in undetected? The only reasonable answer that can be inferred from the actions of the federal government and White House is that either, 1) terrorism is not as big as threat as the government claims it is, or 2) the borders are being left open because our leadership is being deliberately treasonous and deliberately means to aid and abet terrorists for reasons as yet unknown. 3) Administration incompetency can not be viewed as an plausible third alternative answer—for the White House did competently strip out our Constitutional Rights and impose martial law (of sorts) security at our ports and airports, did they not? There is an even darker 4th choice, which all the research facts now point to... Large transnational corporations and other globalist free traders (with no allegiance to the US, regardless where they are headquartered), and who have extremely deep pockets, may have conscripted the US leadership (at all key positions) into turning their heads the other way regarding open borders and illegal immigration enforcement. The point of such an act by said groups would be to ensure an open borders agenda toward the promotion of the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) agreement signed by President Bush (aka North American Union [NAU] agenda). We know from a recent US State Department sponsored meeting that the NAU, and now a Transatlantic Union (TU), are now official pursuits in US policy. Although the acts of pushing so called economic agendas under the SPP/TU may seem benign and nothing more than politically energized, the reality is that such an agenda directly conflicts with, and undermines, US national security and the Constitution. The promotion of the SPP, whether overt or hidden, seeks a physically open border with Mexico and Canada and the free flow of labor between all. Such an open border agenda, when juxtaposed against the current international terrorism threat and the nation's genuine national security concerns, needs, and priorities, makes it, too, a national security threat---for the SPP and its promoters are actually promoting that the American people let their guard down and open themselves to terrorism (although they are not directly saying this, the outcome sought is clearly the equivalent). Any government official who deliberately takes political contributions or other perks from such SPP promoting groups or who actively assists an open border's agenda is therefore at direct odds with the Constitution and the national security of the United States and its citizens and such acts, technically, make them complicit in a collective treason--not mere benign political play--and anyone with knowledge of such efforts inside of government, or conducted by others, who willfully fails to report such illegal activities to law enforcement may also be held culpable. The problem is, the FBI appears a willing "head-turning" participant as well, which makes the task that much harder for Americans attempting to safeguard their country and American lives. 4. Crimes committed by illegal aliens are 100% preventable by simply enforcing the laws already on the books. Bonn: This is not true. The laws on the books are not sufficient to ensure enforcement by our federal, state, and local officials. As currently written, the laws rely substantially on voluntarily cooperation (without penalty for noncompliance) and offer no substantial recourse to the people that might otherwise help ensure the laws are faithfully enforced by those charged to do so. Only new laws that ensure compliance and enforcement of our immigration laws, such a providing jail time for officials who fail to do their jobs, or the option of stripping away federal funding from noncompliant cities, states, and agencies as a punishment, will ensure this internal cancer of ignoring the rule-of-law is healed. 5. Deportation is a joke. What good does it do to deport someone who knows he can easily get right back into the country? Bonn: Deportation can only work if: 1) we identify and track all those who are deported (i.e. exit tracking), 2) create new laws which ensure harsh jail time (at hard labor) for additional border trespass violations, 3) ensure that repeat offenders lose all future rights and privileges from access to US soil (e.g. being permanently barred from being able to participate in all US programs or US soil access, including citizenship, immigration, visas, worker permits, etc.). These magnets can also be removed from all those currently in the US illegally but only by installing new laws, which must be enforced. Remember, enforcement becomes a very simple matter once Americans are educated to the fact this is a national security and Constitutional protection issue. Few Americans want to aid and abet terrorists or foreign invaders or operate against the Constitution, which specifically requires the states and citizens be protected from invasion by the federal government. 6. Deportation is not a punishment and, when additional laws have been broken, it can be a Get Out of Jail Free card. Bonn: Most Americans want all illegal aliens punished with jail time. This is a fact. However, jailing from 12 to 20 million illegal aliens would cost the US taxpayer hundreds of billions of dollars. It is better for all if we deport them and ensure they never return illegally – and those that do return illegally should then been treated with all the harshness the law can provide (to act as a strong deterrent for others). Those who break non-immigration related laws, such as rapists, robbers, child molesters, terrorists, etc. should be prosecuted for their crimes to the full extent of the law. This group is a much smaller and more manageable number of ½ to 1-1/2 million illegal aliens. 7A. The language has been hijacked and we have to take it back…. Bonn: The issue is the cost to businesses and government. Currently, under case law now, all small businesses across the nation are subject to being harshly fined and their owners jailed for not providing service in multiple languages. If such laws are more vigorously enforced, virtually every small business in the country could be forced out of business simply due to economics--imagine a restaurant, for example, providing menus in 200 languages. Additionally, the government spends billions of dollars annually subsidizing non-English readers. In most countries (i.e. Mexico), if translation is needed, the individual must pay for it themselves, which helps provide the incentive to assimilate into the culture and language. Making English the official and only required language for business and government is the only reasonable solution possible. The other primary issue is lack of assimilation by other cultures who refuse to use English in their daily public lives. This is a social construct. The First Amendment protects freedom of speech and expression, which includes a person’s ability to use a foreign language on US soil. If assimilation is desired, social protest, rather than legal constructs, should be utilized, such as boycotting all businesses whose employees do not speak English at all times while in public and on the job. Immigration laws should be devised to ensure a person fully assimilates into the US culture and language, which unites us all as Americans from many cultures, and if such immigrants are unwilling or unable, then citizenship and the rights thereof should never be granted. 7B.…Fighting illegal immigration does not make you a racist, there is a difference between a legal immigrant and an illegal alien, vigilante and natives aren’t 4-letter words, and the list goes on. Bonn: The country is very confused and often misuses the term “racism” when they should be using the term “nationalism”. It is okay to be a “nationalists” and love your country and want to protect its borders and its citizens. Although undesirable, it is okay to even despise and perhaps even want to war with people of other nations---foreigners---who do not share your viewpoint of the world or your national culture or values as a nation of people. For example, many people despise Iranians, Syrians, al Qaeda (a group of no nation but who act as a nation), and not so long ago Soviets, etc.. In Mexico, the latest Zogby Poll says the overwhelming majority of Mexican citizens hate Americans. These are illustrations of nationalism, not racism. The rhetoric often seen from invading Mexican marchers (illegal aliens) chanting "Reconquista" is not racist, it is nationalistic. It promotes Mexico and Mexican rights over that of the US and Americans. The fact that such large amounts of foreign invaders (millions) are standing on US soil when they chant such foreign nationalisms makes it technically an act of aggression and war---but not racism. On the other hand, it is considered ignorant and generally inhumane to be “racists”—that is, hate someone due simply to their skin color. What the anti-illegal immigration groups need to do better is force the topic of nationalism to the surface when talking to the press every time the word "racism" pops up. In educating the public and raising the level awareness this way, more accurate language is used and the emotional power of the debate shifts back to the pro-American, anti-illegal immigration groups who are justifiably protecting their country from foreign invasion. 8A. Sanctuary cities aid and abet illegal aliens in breaking our immigration laws. That’s a federal crime, and these cities should be held accountable for committing it. Bonn: Sanctuary cities are illegal and are skirting the law in most cases, not so much breaking it outright. Only new laws that take away their federal funding dollars for not complying will ensure that most embrace the rule-of-law. Additional aspects that ensure key personnel perform, or are held accountable, would also offer added remedy. The irony is that any single state has the absolute power on its own to stop illegal immigration and open borders across the entire nation all by itself! How? Under the US Constitution, states and their citizens are specially protected from foreign invasion. If the state or its citizens petition the federal government to abate the invasion, the federal government, by law, must do so (enforcement is assured). To date, not one state has done this simple act. 8B. What if the states do petition and the fed does nothing? Bonn: Well, under implied laws, the states have the legal right to secede from the union. If one state begins secession, that would trigger panic in the Congress to stop other states from attempting to follow suit and enforcement of the immigration laws would likely be immediately forthcoming. This is what I mean by each state on its own having the power to end illegal immigration---they could force the hand of the federal government to do its Constitutionally mandated job. In fact, just the political threat of secession would likely be all that is needed. 9. The media does everything in its power to keep the truth about illegal immigration from the citizens of this country, which is why we must do everything in our power to expose the truth. Bonn: Unfortunately you are right. If you will do your research you will learn that the giant transnational corporations who want open borders and are funding it are often owners of the various mainstream media groups that issue most of the news to the nation so it should come as no surprise that editorial censorship is common among the mainstream media on these issues. Anyone who deeply studies the entire anti-illegal immigration constituency will recognize that there are only about 2 million total voters actively working to support the efforts of anti-illegal immigration activists (e.g. note that many voters belong to multiple organizations, etc.). Therefore, two things must be done to ensure that a much larger swath of the public becomes aware and actively joins the anti-illegal immigration fight: 1) Activists groups must ban together from across multiple political issues, such as groups fighting illegal immigration, open borders, terrorism, North American Union, jobs, economy, Constitutional redress, etc. toward capturing more activists, hence more voter awareness and support. This requires a central rallying point around which all diverse groups can find common ground, such as a major bill proposal that addresses their respective concerns. 2) To accomplish this, the activist must first join forces to increase their numbers, strength, and collective resources, as well as put on a unified and well organized front that will draw the public in and help gather voter support, which can politically back their collective efforts. 3) There must be a leadership vehicle that can aid this process, which is best served by forming a coalition with an elected group of key officials and a strong leader able to lead them all to victory. Such an approach ensures that the message forthcoming remains unified and therefore more potent and effective in building mass public awareness. 4) In order to form a successful coalition, each individual group or activist must first be willing to drop their own agendas and agree to work on a much larger, more encompassing coalition agenda that will net them most of what they want individually yet will require compromise as well. With a major coalition in place and well organized, only then will the collective and unified voice of the grass roots sector be strong enough to push the message not only out to a greater public audience through traditional methods (i.e. online), but most importantly, into the mainstream media light where most voters consume their news. Once in the mainstream news media light, the coalition must present a clear and unified message toward gaining additional support from the masses. Once mass public support is achieved, then it is a simple matter to pressure the Congress into doing the bidding of the masses. Mahatma Gandhi proved an entire nation can be freed when the masses are unified in purpose, intents, and actions and so too can Americans. Blaming the mainstream media for the grass roots sector's inability to group and organize into a professional and formidable force worthy of their attention is like blaming Microsoft for being a software company---makes no sense and achieves nothing constructive. 10. It is no more racist to condemn based on race than it is to favor based on race. Why, then, is it acceptable to denigrate one and applaud the other? Bonn: Forget the issue of race. The issue is Constitutional protection. We The People are Constitutionally protected from foreign invasion. These people on US soil illegally are “invaders” in every technical sense of the term. Press the point of Constitutionality, which is impossible to successfully argue against, and never draw into a hopeless argument on race. Race debates are counter-productive and too emotionally heated and they lend support to the opposition’s position, which is to derail intelligent issue discussion and drop it down to a barbaric level of lunacy. Any person who researches the subject for ten minutes on the Net will learn point-blank that the most racists people on the American continent are Latinos in their home countries---the entire nation of Mexico is actually built on a race-based cast system---simply because Mexico, like most Latin countries, has never underwent the learning pains of a Civil Rights movement like we did in this country. However, discussing this issue remain counterproductive when the real issue should be constitutionality. 11. Now what? Bonn: Please send listeners to the www.SafeAmericaAct.com where they can learn about the SAA Coalition that is rapidly forming and how, against all odds, the grass roots community might be rallied toward winning back their country by working together. SAA solves all these issues we discussed above, and it’s not written in stone, but it is a good starting point for groups of many diverse disciplines and issues to join up and lend their fight to protecting America. The activist community, working together, can bring in tens of millions of voters and those voters can force Congress to act appropriately. Congress will not do it on their own otherwise. If they would have, then why have they not passed the SAVE Act, which has over 100 co-sponsors? Why does this issue persist for over 5 years? The anti-illegal immigration community cannot solve the issue on their own either. If they could have, then why have they not already prepared a formal bill and lobbied it to Congress and got this issue fully resolved after 5 years of playing defense---that is not leadership---that is lack of experience, education, and true knowledge how grass roots activism must be applied in order to work successfully. Playing defense is good, but nobody wins a victory without a strong offense---SAA/SAAC is an offense! To Journalist And Activists... We only ask one thing---that activist everywhere will learn about SAA and debate it and if SAA is not the solution, then let’s quickly work together to find the solution before it’s too late. Congress will not do it on their own---not ever. Amnesty is coming with three new presidential candidates who support it, as well as a democratic Congress bent on it, so if we wait to form our coalition when they attack once again, it will be too late—our numbers will be too small and we will be unorganized and we will not have the critical public support we need to have in place. The time to strengthen our numbers and plan is before the battle, not during and after when it’s too late. And if we hope to expand our community or voter reach, we must unite with other causes and other activists on other issues. We must drop our destructive mentality that keeps telling us that only those orgs long entrenched in the illegal immigration issue are fit to be followed---this strategy by activists has proven disastrously failed---for where is the final victory---alas 5 years following such a strategy has not lead to a lasting success, but now places us dangerously close to a major and final amnesty defeat! We must all rethink, reassess, and take up a new strategy and approach that expands our collective capabilities and ability to execute larger plans---not just in a defensive strategy, but with a much stronger offensive strategy and attack that can lead us all to a decisive victory! If we are wrong in our foretelling of amnesty battles to come, then so much the better--we can forge our own offensive victory unabated as a diverse coalition united in purpose and goal under SAA---but if we are right, and the $100 million war-chest funded by the globalist transnationals is brought to bear against us as unorganized fools following merely defensive strategies inside a small pool of anti-illegal immigration activists and voters, the loss will be overwhelming and devastating---shameful at best---all the hard work and effort by so many will have been wasted needlessly. Is not prevention better than cure? Does anybody want to look back and say---wow, I told you so---that amnesty would prevail! Is it not better to be smart, work together, and plot a winning plan and execute it toward ensuring a final and overwhelming win? What team or army ever won without a strong offensive attack? SAA is just such an attack. And what harm could come from working together, capitalizing on each other's strengths and supporting each other's weakness if it increases our chances of overwhelming the opposition---even if we are much less funded and have the media against us? We can put this illegal immigration permanently to rest if we, as activists, and voters who follow their activist leaders, will open our minds and approaches to new and more formidable ways that strengthen our solidarity and forge new synergies that extend our community reach, resources, effectiveness, and ability to execute like all formidable armies that conquer by wisdom rather than hapless might--- or we can follow our current path of being un-united, scattered forces working in different directions with different agendas with different goals that defuse results and ensure our opponents are better able to divide and conquer us. Any diligent person who studies the big picture with a politically sensitive and knowing strategic eye can clearly see a runaway train coming toward us, building momentum from behind the scenes, from behind closed doors---a powerful set of alliances building momentum, forged by those who have had decades to perfect the craft of politics and strategy making toward forcing the public to swallow otherwise unacceptable political pills like amnesty and open borders---for the groups that promote such things are the very same groups that promote a North American Union and they have all the money and influence on their side. This is true David and Goliath story and we, my friends and supporters, unfortunately, are the poor little guy still rummaging for a sling and a rock and praying for a true leadership eye and hand capable of directing that one fatal stone---the odds may appear dramatically against us---but, not apparent to the untrained eye, we are actually holding all the trump cards, if we care enough to play together and play them right! Please read this article: Why Amnesty Passes By Sumer 2009 http://www.patriotunion.org/commentary/issues/immigration/ why_amnesty_passes_by_summer_2009Part1.htm Then sign up as a SAA Coalition member and help us vote in the SAAC leader and lets take the battle to the enemy for a change! |
